My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| Out of impulse, my best friend, Jacob and I decided to have an unplanned weekend at the San Jose metro to celebrate his birthday. Well, he used to be a San Jose local so I left all the decisions for him in hopes of having an unforgettable day of endless happenings. San Jose is a famous city among us friends since Jacob usually tells us fascinating tales of his weekend conquests with friends before moving. Jacob was such a sweetheart that by noon time, when we reached San Jose, he wanted to give me a feast to my eye with the premiere shopping destination of the famous Santana Row. He was like the tour guide of my trip and he gladly showed me where I could shop if I ever drop by this San Jose destination. Going out of the car was like setting foot into a real life shopper’s paradise, well, I tend to exaggerate whenever I come close to my favorite shopping therapy. If a premier shopping experience is what you’re after, then head to San Jose’s Santana Row. Every brand that I can think of is here, like watching Carrie Bradshaw’s mother ship come to life. International brands are here like Gucci, Burberry and more. I can never think of anything better than to spend the afternoon going around that shopping district. What is even more amazing is that this shopping destination is covered with staggering old-world vibe complete with mesmerizing parks and entertainment in the outdoors. We soon headed to a restaurant named Thea Meditteranean. I was actually surprised because I never knew he would treat me for some Greek afternoon treat. It has great service especially the guy who entertained us and readily equipped us with information about what to order and what is the house specialty. Well, I chose to order the seafood pasta. It was nicely done. The texture is just divine and I never had an amazing pasta meal with the right combination of seafood in it. The halibut and the taste of the salmon just blended well especially with the broth that just put the dish altogether. Jacob had his meat craving satisfied with the plate of his lamb sliders. It was a nice weekend for the two of us and we can’t wait to invite all of our friends to come join in on the fun. Hopefully they are not busy this time. |
